Years ago I was a regular nude figure model for a painter, which made me a few extra bucks every week. A girlfriend and I once did a nude photoshoot together with a professional photographer.

Did you have to do weird poses? Because I know an art teacher and he has a painting of a woman painted from behind on all fours.. and there's a female looking sculpture lying in his garden with her legs slightly bend and wide spread xD
The dude was definitely a little creepy and I could tell that he would have been happy to have people pose like that, but ultimately he left the poses up to the individual models. As long as the poses were interesting he was fine with it.
This gig ended up being good, but it's always wise to take safety measures if you'll be alone in situations like that with a stranger. Let people know where you are and when you'll be back, etc.
lol now I wonder if all artist are a little creepy xD I think the models were his girlfriends, so they were ok with it.. though they were also his former students, so.. o_O
aren't most poses that are interesting also cramp inducing if you have to hold it for a long time? my examples are one of the few that looked like you could do it for 3-4 hours straight.

No, but I would draw someone in the nude. I've recently picked up drawing and I love doing it. I've only drawn animals so far, though. My best friend is really good and she only started drawing this year. She does a lot of nude bodies (from pictures in books, not real life) and they are beautiful. I've learned to have an appreciation of the human body because of her drawings.

No, but she should. She does amazing sketches. Our art teacher always yells at her, though, because she never puts her sketches on good paper. It's always on printer paper. I have a sketch book so I don't have to deal with her wrath. Haha

Yes! That would be so cool and good for him. He should totally do it. My best friend is amazing at art and our teacher keeps trying to tell her that she should think about going to art school for college, but she doesn't want to. I can see why, but she should definitely consider selling her art one day.
I wouldn't model nude because I'd feel really uncomfortable but I have painted many nude people before. I think it depends on the person really. Some people feel comfortable since it's their job, while some stay away from it.

I have known one other woman that was painted nude. It was not exact. Don't know what the style is called, but she was recognizable. She loved it and had it hanging in her living room. Very tasteful. Thanks, I think I'm just more relaxed about nudity because I grew up going to museums that displayed nude greek gods and goddesses statues among other things, so I didn't learn nudity = always sexuality. I don't feel sexually aroused looking at those two paintings. They just look beautiful to me.
