I have a younger brother (14) and he and i are really close. Yes he's a bit overprotective as if he's the older one. I think its sweet but sometimes its too much. When he plays stupid pranks on the guys i date, when he keeps on asking me my whereabouts when im not home, and basically investigating every information about every guy i meet

Someone who thinks they can tell me what I can and can't do. I'd like protective in that he'll be there to support me and stand by my side. But he has to realise that he doesn't control me and that I have to do what makes me happy and he has no right to stop me. If he tries to stop me living my life, then he's overprotective.
What Girls Said
Someone who tries to dictate what I can and cannot do, who tries to investigate my every move. Who flips out if I don't take his advice or listen to him all the time. Feeling protective is good, not letting someone have their own life or make their own decisions is not.
I have a younger brother, guaranteed his only five, but I already know that I'll be protective over him. I think being overprotective would be like flipping out over really small things and stuff that she wouldn't necessarily need protection against.
