Like I hate when I see people do that on TV, movies, or in real life.
They are still your parents so okay "mommy and daddy" sound rather childish if you feel like you're an adult then call them mom and dad or mother and father instead of their actual name. They're still your parents and you'll always be their child it just shows a line of respect. I personally could never call my parents by by their first when speaking to them it's just odd.23 Reply- +1 y
I used to when I was little because my mom would call my dad by her first name. I got scolded for it so I stopped.

I dunno. I upvoted though. :) And okay

I usually think its odd (because its not common) I hear fully grown adults do that.
I even have a 29 year old friend that does the same.
But I also think its cute, it shows the connection you have.
Call your parents what you want.
Don't worry about n e one else.11 Reply- +1 y
Ok. Thanks. :)
I call my mum "mum" or "ma" depending on the language I'm using to talk to her. Sometimes when we talk, we call each other by our names - but it rarely happens tho.

Aww. Thanks.
+1 yi will never consider myself too old to call them that. they'll always be mummy and daddy to me, and ill always be their baby girl.

That's right. :( I don't wanna grow up.
- +1 y
girl me neither!
Not even. My dad who is 43 still calls my grandma Mommy. It's kind of endearing to hear another person call their parents by that. You probably would only get laughed at by your friends, and friends jobs are to laugh even if they see nothing wrong with it.

Haha I don't care. I'll stop eventually

Yeah, I'll grow out of it soon. :P
I still call them that so I don't think you're too old. It's just what you're use to because it's what you've been calling them for all your life which is really hard to switch off from. :T

No you aren't. 60 years old call their parents that. Its not Something to be embarrassed about.
22 Reply- +1 y
Haha really? :D
- +1 y
Yeah man! Like I never actually heard anyone say anything but mommy or daddy in my family except for my male cousin. Its absolutely normal and fine. It has nothing to do with maturity or intelligence. Its just something you are used to calling them!
in my opinion its way more affectionate then saying mom or dad.
+1 yMy dad will always be "Daddy" to me. I call my mom "Mom" or "Ma" but if I'm talking about her to my siblings then I refer to her as "Mommy". I don't feel like there's an age limit on those titles.

u +1 yFar too old. Force yourself to call them Mom and Dad.
011 Reply- +1 y
Why?
- +1 y
Anyone who hears you call your mother "Mommy" will assume that you re socially immature and very dependent. Is that the image you wish to project?
- +1 y
I'm not though, and if they assume that then that's pretty judgmental. :P
- +1 y
That's human nature. Everyone, including you, makes judgments about people based on their observations. They may never tell you what conclusions they have reached about you and you will have no opportunity to rebut their erroneous conclusions. You do not need to change your behavior, and you may continue to call them "mommy" and "daddy" but there are consequences to all of our decisions. You get to choose what consequences you can live with.
- +1 y
Ehhh, okay then. Thanks.
- +1 y
It's judgmental sheep like you that make people feel misantrophic.
- +1 y
@R3d_Anonymous Nice vocabulary. I assume you meant misanthropic. You called me a name without knowing much about me and the subject of the conversation is people being judgmental. Do you see the irony?
What did I say that was judgmental? - +1 y
Eh, I'll grow out of it tbh
- +1 y
You know what, I apologize for ranking on you. Despite my disagreement with this opinion, I've seen you around and honestly, you seem like a pretty chill and cool person and quite tactful in general.
- +1 y
@R3d_Anonymous Apology accepted. Thanks for the compliment, and I hope to see you around G@G.
