Why does my girlfriend drag me to stuff?

OK, so I suspect many other guys might experience this 2. but my girlfriend always wants me to go to events like concerts to bands that girls like, and to chick flicks..ugh! But I mean we actually share a lot of interests too, we saw 311 together and fallout boy. I even like some romantic comedies. But I never ask my girlfriend to see Lamb of God with me or go see horror movies, its just something I think I should just do with my friends. Don't get me wrong either, I enjoy every second I'm with her no matter where we are, but why does she insist? I know I could say "no", and she knows I actually don't feel like going but I do just to spend time with her, plus she sometime says she wont go if I don't, and I know she wants to.

I see where your are coming from. And I think all gals do that. I am no exception.

The thing is that I do that because I want to really do something and also want to spend that time with that specific person. So I end up bugging that person to go. If I know in the end that person really does not want to go to the event, I would try to find an alternative.

But to me it never hurts to try to get the special someone to accompany me.

Maybe you could strike an agreement with her. You could also tell her that she might need some gal time. So at the end of the day not only do you not need to attand the event, she would come back to you hungry to spend more time with you.

I think its best to talk to her and tell her what you like to watch with her and what you would not mind totally missing.

Yea, good idea...ya kno the more I think of it though, it really does help me get to know her and her friends more, maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way....

Always look on the positive.Then you will see what she is trying to get at.

Trust me Gals tend to do stupid things for the person they care about and end up being a total pain to that person.

But it always starts with good intentions.

Just let your heart and head guide you. You will be able to get the best results. (your girl is very lucky to have you [as you try to understand her])

Because she likes you. It's natural for her to want to spend some quality time with you.

However a boundary needs to be set here about things she does with you and things that she can go out and do with her friends. But you have to compromise with her in some instances and she has to compromise with you. It wouldn't kill you to watch a chick flick and it wouldn't kill her to see Lamb of God with you either.

Being in a relationship with someone is about sharing your lives with each other, including passions and interests but like all good things, use in moderation.

Yea, but I don't want her to be somewhere she doesn't want to be, plus I mean she's not like a punk girl metalhead or nethign so she probably feels out of place and stuff. As for me I like a lot of alternative rock ect and puttingup with owl city/metric. thanks for the advice, maybe it might actually be good for her if she tagged along with me to more stuff that I do.

women are emotional creatures, so are men but women are more so. they feel attachment when they are with people they like and feel lonley when they are alone. you going with her is because she likes being with you and feels better as a whole when she is with you. I know that it can get REALLY annoying at times when need you to be with them a lot but at the same time it shows just how much you mean to them and they really just want to spend time with you.
