Should I tell a long distance friend that I like her?

I met this girl on MySpace and have common love for football. we been messaging for bout a 1yr and half now and recently met up @ gm. ever since I can't stop thinking bout her we text and chat about gms on the phone and when I don't answer she leaves me very long voice mails asking me to return her calls too. only thing is we talk football we are staring to open up a little but 4 the most part I wish wed talk about more personal things. I really like her from what I do know she's down to earth, sweet and funny and attractive.. I wanna make my move and find out if she feels the same. don't wanna seem like a freak cause we met through MySpace so that's kinda weird too and not to mention we live in different states. to the girls any signs that she would feel the same? since football season is starting to end I'm hearing a little less and less from her .were both over 25..were planning going to a gm 2gether next year but I don't wanna wait 6 mo for the fear that she might find someone else? should I tell her I like her? I'm leaning towards telling her id rather have rejection than having seeing her with someone else and thinking what if. what would be the best way without being creepy?

Superbowl is coming up? You've talked face to face correct? Invite her to watch the superbowl. Or hook up and toss a football. I met a girl who accidently added me on msn and we met up and played soccer (something we had in common.. actually we had a lot in common, we were born on the same day, had the same favourite songs, idolized the same soccer star, both were involved in exactly the same activies in school, had the same favourite colour and fav foods. I basically met the female version of me). Point is, if your not creepy about it, its not too hard to pull off. Act casual and don't spill your feeling out on the first date... good luck my friend

See the sort of problme with that is your telling someone your really like them, without really getting to know them, which ussually comes across as creepy (Messaging doesn't really count unfortunately) you have sort of have to date the person before before you can discuss feelings. Its great to finally meet a guy who isn't a absolute wuss around telling this girl his feelings, but you may want to wait until you see her in person a few times. Ift you can't wait set something up sooner instead later

thats a tough sitatuation but I would tell her for the reason you stated at the end of your post, it would hurt more to never know than to be rejected. just call her more and stufff, make sure you guys are talking on a regular basis and then ask her to meet up with you sometime like maybe to go chill at a carnavil or something, just spend a day together and tell her in person.

Since she lives in a diffrent state would it be bad to tell her over the phone? Also does it mean anything if I text her and she responds with long msgs on MySpace? It was nothing important really but sometimes it could mean something..

Yeah that's weird that she won't text you back, but if it is a long message it would be easier to type than text, but it would also be easier to say over the phone.

to me is sounds like she is overwhelmed and possibly not ready to handle anything serious because she seems to be sending really mixed signals telling me she doesn't know exactly where she is at or wants from this relationship.
