My parents don't like my boyfriend because they think he's ugly?

I have been seeing this really wonderful guy for a little over a month. I think he is great. Everything about him is great. I have never known such a great guy before. My parents act very rude when I talk about him and they don't talk to him much when he's around. I asked why they are so rude around him and they said that he's ugly and I can do better. I'm not breaking up with him. I really like him. Do you think there's anything I can do to make them stop being annoying when he's around and when I'm talking about him? It's very rude, and I don't understand why they think it is okay to act the way they do. It's hard for me to want to have him around when my parents act the way they do, especially since their reason is something as shallow as the way he looks. Is there anything I can do?

Tell them how you feel about how shallow they are. What would they feel like if their parents said the same thing when they started going out. Tell them if they don't respect your choices you can simply stay away until they can. A bit harsh maybe but they'll understand how you feel and that his appearence really doesn't have anything to say when it comes to love :)

I know this sounds horrible, but next time say this:
Parents: "I don't like your boyfriend, he's too ugly."
You: "well, I guess it's a good thing I'm the one fucking him and not you huh?"

You could say "with" and not "fucking" lol

Wow that's really bad of your parents. If one parent got disfigured in an accident would the other just up and leave?

Honestly there's not much you can do. They think that your relationship probably won't last forever so they're just hoping you'll break up eventually.

tell them that you don't care if they don't think he's attractive. you find him attractive and are going to be with him. you'd appreciate it if they supported you being in a happy relationship with a great guy.
