So there's this kid I used to work with and he was one of my good friends over the summer and I had no idea that he liked me and I actually liked this other kid we worked with. Well I left for school and he moved away as well and he started being really clingy and wouldn't leave me alone and the whole thing got out of hand and we ended up getting in a fight towards the end and I told him we couldn't be friends anymore because I couldn't handle it. He ended up coming into the place I work last week when he was home visiting and it made me realize I feel really bad about the whole thing. But I'm scared to text him because I'm afriad it'll end as bad as last time. So I don't know what to do because everyone says I shouldn't but I just feel really bad about the whole thing but I'm scared.

You are right in assuming 'I'm afraid it'll end as bad as last time,' because Old habits are hard to kick and I am afraid, as wise as as this ol owl that I am, that it will Only... Be worse this time around town.
