Yes. My dad is obsessed with turning everything off - including phones and tablets. He is convinced that he needs to save the battery life, failing to realise with modern battery tech, the device itself will be obsolete and need to be replaced way before the battery itself has worn out even with daily use (my iPhone 4 still holds a good charge for several days and it's over six years old)
He also has endless problems with his computers - he installs every shitty app and has them all load on startup, so it takes an ice age for his PC to get going. He has Skype running all the time.
My mom is even worse. She can't figure out Windows half the time, so we got her a tablet. It took her months to figure out how to effectively use the touchscreen and have it recognize her fingerpresses.
Pops is clueless than a muthaeffer... always constantly having to fix his fuck ups. Just expecting me to know whats wrong right off the bat and how to fix it... and sometimes when i can't figure it out, he goes "then what is that IT degree for?" ...
gets on my damn nerves...
my parents are fairly tech-savvy, for two people in their mid-50s. even my 80 year-old grandparents have owned a computer for a while; they love their email and sending pictures from their digital camera to those of us who live further away.
on the other hand, my man's parents (who are almost the same age as my grandparents) are completely illiterate when it comes to technology. his mom got a brand new samsung s7 (or whatever the hell number they're on now) for no apparent reason, and we're constantly playing tech support.
mrw when my father in law asks "can't you just call kijiji" after we've explained to him 12 times that it's not a store:

My dad is and it's only because he's set in his ways. He still has a flip phone. And he won't get of it. And my mom bought him a laptop but he never uses it. He still uses their 15 year old tower computer that my mom was to get rid of but he won't let her.
Geez, my dad is old...
Yess. They call all tv shows pictures lol. There country and old. But they do know how to use Facebook on there new smart phones after i was forced to show them how to use them. Now my mom is on Facebook all the time but they both still can't work a computer.
Option D, none of them are.

They're both pretty bad yes.
My mum was genuinely tapping the screen of my desktop, I was waiting for her to realise it's not a tablet.
My dad can't seem to comprehend tabs in the browser, infuriatingly. After 10 years or so of vein attempts of using a computer, I literally asked him yesterday if it was the first time if he'd used one, after sheer frustration.
They didn't use to be, but they're getting old and they seem to be getting more and more technoliogically retarded as the years pass. It's funny because my dad set up the entire computer system and network for the bank he worked for when he was younger. He set up his entire network for his accounting firm. He tought me the basics of computer repair and networking when I was a kid, but now he can barely operate a web browser... It's an odd transformation to watch...
My dad definitely not, he's sometimes a bit slow with some things but especially compared to other people of his age (70 in 2 months) quite good.
My mom... Meh, she's good enough to do basic things but if there's something new, unexpected or some problems, she calls me or breaks everything by trying herself lol
Totally, my mom can only search Google images because I thought her the exact passages she has to do. My father can play Facebook games and watch Youtube videos because I thought him how to.
That's for the better, though, because having nobody at all knowing how to use a PC forced me to get quite good at it solving the many problems Windows ME had, even harder pseudo/programming ones without being an IT member.
LOL no they're both REALLY good! well dad a bit more than mum since he uses tech a lot, but still. #proud
omg, even one of my grandmas is good. she's full got a Facebook account and figured out how to add keyboards all by herself!
My moms horrible... She texts so slow and puts all of her focus on it. Someone standing behind her literally read what she was typing/had typed and she didn't even notice.
Lol no my father is a tech genius and an IT guy, man knows how to do just about anything with a computer, taught me how to build my first one. My mother knows how to do the basics of a computer but not anything advanced.
My Mom is pretty good at it but my dad... :(
He'll call me out of the blue because "when he opens chrome too many ads pop up" or something like that.
He's also not that good with smartphones
My dad is really good with technology (he is very much a self-proclaimed Apple snob), my mom isn't as literate. She knows how to use her phone to do basics but when it comes to social media stuff and sharing photos, she's lost. :-P
I voted the last one. Ughh meant to click "my mom is but my dad isn't." My dad is way more active on it than me! lol He was the first one that told me about Skype and Instagram years ago.
My mom knows how to use a computer some what and my dad doesn't know how to work any electronic at all.
and you came out a gamer :D
@BertMacklinFBI :D growing up my mom gave me educational games, that probably lead to that.
My parents aren't, they need to be somewhat tech-savvy for their jobs, but my grandparents had no clue.
Both parents are. Especially my mother, she doesn't know how to use a computer. My father tries, but he still needs my help for a lot of things.
Oh yes most def. No matter how many times we teach my dad, he forgets. He doesn't even know how to use the TV remote and he watches TV daily :D
Nope, my father is really into technology and he's really good with it!
My mom is always quite good.
Since I dont have a dad, my mom doesn't understand anything about her phone, tv, computer - im always helping her.
they both know their way around computers/phones but they've been super smart since day 1
"Both parents are." OMG they're fucking stupid when it comes to tech...>_<
No. They both work in tech. They might even know more than I do
My mom definitely is but my dad has somewhat kept up with things. My mom sometimes forgets to plug in appliances then claims that they don't work..
Lol.. Both are to an extent, as they both grew up without phones and the internet.
But they have learnt most stuff by now.
I taught them well
My dad knows more about the tech world than me. He is the first one in the family to know about certain updates.
My mom on the other hand...
I drilled in the basics so they're ok now. took some time though...
both of my parents are technologically impaired but try hard to learn what they can
My dad is, but my mom is not
I <3 your memes, too funny but true :)
Fuck yes!
My dad's constantly pestering me to teach him how to use the internet.
Lmao how old are they?
@helloitsmethere Mom's in her mid-60's and dad's in his mid-70's. Both married late, so a 25-year-old man like me, is considered too young to have these old folks as parents.
Ohhh, well my parents had me kinda late. (My mom had me at 35-36 and my dad had me at 40-41) When I am 19 my dad would be 60 and my mom would be 55. They look young for their ages though but my dad is more tech savvy than I will ever be.
My dad is a programmer, so he does just fine but my mom has basic computer skills and that's it.
My dads getting better but they're still both not that great
Yes; my dad might argue against this, but he would be wrong.
My dad has come a long way lol and my mom, well she has Facebook so I'm sure she's good.
My mum is significantly more clueless than my dad but both are bad at it.
My parents aren't, but my grandparents are.
My mom is, she's getting better though.
Vote D. My parents both had a Skype account B4 me.
My mother can't even turn her phone on...
Both parents are long dead.
My mom needs help lol!
My mom and dad are sucked into their smartphones!
my both parents are, but i find it very cute.
My mom is worse than my dad
They are actually better than me
Option D: Neither are
Dad can barely check his email. Mom's just fine.
My mom is, my dad isn't.
yay... mock your parents.. cool.
Both
Nope, both are dead.
Neither are.
Lol yeah both are.
