My parents still spank me sometimes if they get really upset with me cause I did something bad. I jut wanna know how normal that is and if other people have similar experiences or if spankings are old school and my parents just didn't get with the times yet.

Yes and I'm glad that they did. When I was younger they could get me to obey by threatening me with it. Having raised animals you always have to find the thing that makes them listen until you do they will just do what they want and not care about the consequences.
Being freinds with several parents the ones that do spank have kids that obey most of the time. The ones that don't well they just drag their kids home early screaming. Then you have to wonder would it really be suck a bad thing to hear the kid screaming for 3 minutes till they get swatted or for the 10 that it takes to drag them out the door and into the car.
