If you have cramps, get a heating pad (medicine aisle of drug stores) and some Midol or acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil).
I think it's better to tell him but not directly! cause it would be uncomfortable for him and you! if he got a girlfriend tell her and ask her how to approach ( cause she will tell him way better than you do) . or you can tell you're brother :

If he's your legal guardian, he should know. That way, he knows he'll have to make the necessary considerations for you.
If he's not a jerk, you probably won't have to worry about him mocking you. If you need re-assurance, tell him how important this is to you and make him promise to keep it secret with you.

i don't think u need to tell him in the first place if u just grab some tampons next time u go shopping together. If u feel really crappy with cramps or headaches or something u could tell him he's family i don't know why he'd make fun of you. Does he have a girlfriend u could talk to about it? girls are usually really comforting with stuff like that
Just tell him. He'll be embarrassed, but guys learn that in health class girls get periods. They all know that. He probs won't make fun of u he'd be too embarrassed haha. But u should tell him, yeah.
At his age, he should know what's going on with girls. I don't see why you have to tell him at all, but if you feel you have to, just tell him. There's nothing anyone can do about it, anyway. It just happens.
he shouldn't make fun of you. It's very natural. Just tell him casually that you got your first period and maybe if there's a girl you can talk to about it- whether it be your mom or another trusted lady in your family.

I would approach him by saying "brother this is uncomfortable for me to talk with you about this but i have no one else to turn to. I just got my period. " Then take it from there.

That depends on his personality. Is he responsible? I'm in a similar situation and he handled it perfectly fine. He bought my pads and things. I think it'll be fine.
