Tell him, "Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I started my period for the first time. No need to freak out. I just need you to drive me to the store." Use toilet paper until you can buy either pads or tampons (pads are recommended for your first time; get the ones with wings). If you have cramps, get a heating pad (medicine aisle of drug stores) and some Midol or acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil).

I think it's better to tell him but not directly! cause it would be uncomfortable for him and you! if he got a girlfriend tell her and ask her how to approach ( cause she will tell him way better than you do) . or you can tell you're brother :
Since I'm a lady now ! I can do this for example...
or just when you're mad tell him im pms so just be nice for a while :D
He has been Taking care of you thus Far and so Far good. I imagine if he has been Patient and Understanding up to now, he will Continue... Even during this difficult Period.
Tell him in a Round about Way Today, "Bro, My Friend is Visiting me, could we please Go to town?"
Good Luck and I am So Sorry you Lost your parents. xx
If he's your legal guardian, he should know. That way, he knows he'll have to make the necessary considerations for you.
If he's not a jerk, you probably won't have to worry about him mocking you. If you need re-assurance, tell him how important this is to you and make him promise to keep it secret with you.
My condolences on your parents. Good luck to you both.
Why do you have to tell him? You say you live with him. Do you mean he's responsible for you? Like the only adult?
Anyway. Just tell him. I seriously doubt if he'll make fun of you. He might not know how to react, but he'll get used to it.

i don't think u need to tell him in the first place if u just grab some tampons next time u go shopping together. If u feel really crappy with cramps or headaches or something u could tell him he's family i don't know why he'd make fun of you. Does he have a girlfriend u could talk to about it? girls are usually really comforting with stuff like that
Just tell him. He'll be embarrassed, but guys learn that in health class girls get periods. They all know that. He probs won't make fun of u he'd be too embarrassed haha. But u should tell him, yeah.
At his age, he should know what's going on with girls. I don't see why you have to tell him at all, but if you feel you have to, just tell him. There's nothing anyone can do about it, anyway. It just happens.
he shouldn't make fun of you. It's very natural. Just tell him casually that you got your first period and maybe if there's a girl you can talk to about it- whether it be your mom or another trusted lady in your family.
aww, just say 'From now on Im a grown women' thats what I told my Dad haha :p He will ask why and then its not so serieus anymore. Its just normal right! :)
I don't think you have to tell him in the first place, even if he his your legal guardian. Just buy some pads the next time you go shopping together, he'll get the hint.
Just say "Bro, Aunt Flo visited today. Could you please get me some pads?"
If he is making fun of you, you should remember that he some times makes his underware soak with his sperm at night And make fun of him too. Always have some weapons if you are afraid of something! Go girl!
Why would you tell him? Unless he's your guardian and he shouldn't know.
If he is just tell him you got your period and you need to get pads or tampons.you should tell him or you should tell a female in your family like grandmother or aunt or something coz you are gonna need help during this time and it is good to have someone know what you are goin through
I would approach him by saying "brother this is uncomfortable for me to talk with you about this but i have no one else to turn to. I just got my period. " Then take it from there.
Just tell him, it's no big deal, it's a part of life.
Just tell him "hey i think i should buy pads" i 100% bet he understands. He won't make fun of you if he's a good brother. If you're that timid to him then next time you go to supermarket grab pads as many as you can for stock xD
Just tell him, "I have to tell you something serious. I need you to listen, but don't make fun of me okay?" Then tell him. It will be fine.
Why do you have to tell him? I never told anyone until my mom found out
That depends on his personality. Is he responsible? I'm in a similar situation and he handled it perfectly fine. He bought my pads and things. I think it'll be fine.
Why would you tell your brother that? Wtf
nothing embarrassing :/
you don't have to tell him
I'd Google what to do and how to do it
