How to tell if someone genuinely likes you and enjoys your company?

Question

I'd say i'm not a bad judge of character and can read people pretty well.. but a lot of the time i do struggle to know what peoples real thoughts are on me when they're nice to my face then find out later they betrayed you or heard they didn't really like you through the grapevine.. so makes me wonder who are being polite and fake to those who genuinely do actually like you?

What do you think are some signs? How do you act when you genuinely like someone compared to when you're just being nice?

If they are capable of giving sometimes without expecting anything in return. If they can set aside their own self interests in favor of yours some of the time, without getting visibly upset like you're asking for too much.
Also watch how they treat other women vs. how they treat men and notice if there's any differences. Especially watch how they act around their friends. Note how they talk about people; women in particular. From that, you'll be able to tell if he is a genuinely good person. If you notice that he doesn't say anything disrespectful about other women, it's likely he will respect you in a healthy relationship.

Ahh... okay, there are people who talk with everyone and are nice to everyone. Look out for the simplest things like them not giving you there full attention while talking to you. If a person a walks by you guys and your friend and your friend is more interested in a conversation with them that can show a signs of unloyal friendship. One trait I know I look out for is how a person reacts when I approach them. If they aren't interested in what I have to say more than once, they obviously are not interested in what you have to say. I personally trust my gut, and that usually keeps me with good friends that have last a while!

If I don't like someone, I don't like someone. I don't pretend to be their friend just for the sake of pretending, but I am kind to them. When I'm friends with people, I go out of my way to talk to them, laugh at their jokes, and to hang out with them. If I see a friend in public, I go up and visit with them. When I'm just being kind to someone, I talk to them only if they start a conversation, and I don't try to keep the convo going. I do not hang out with them and I do not talk with them when I see them in public. I'm kind, but I'm not fake.

The thing about liking someone genuinely I'd that you're genuine. You're not faking anything or holding back. And that is something which cannot be mistaken. Every action, and every reaction is pure. There are no planned moments and intricacies and there are no responses. Just pure unadulterated fun. It's something which you can just tell. There's no guide to it. It's written all over their eyes, their smile, their speech, and their body language. That's something which also starts to have an intoxicating effect on you. When somebody genuinely likes you, or is enjoying you start enjoying or liking them back as well.

I smile more. I compliment them. I give them advice when it's needed. I offer to do activities that I know they'll probably enjoy. I'll take selfies with them. They likely appreciate you if they go to you for no specific reason, just to talk and have some news of you.

Also, pay attention to how they treat others when they're not around. If they are hypocrites with others, they likely are with you as well.

I can judge a good company from three things :

The first thing:
is exchaging insults and making fun of both of you or at least making fun of youselves or making pranks
*insults aren't always a measure of hate

The second thing:
The amount of tine he/her spends with you measures if he want really to be with you or not

The third thing :
he /her greets you and come to you even if you're giving him/her your back and not noticing his existence

he final thing that stands to reason is that he/her not knowing or taking you for his/her benefit.

People who genuinely like you will show a genuine interest in you and your life. This means asking questions about you, caring about how you feel (they don't want to offend you or make you mad), and being generally kind. If they have a problem with you, they will confront you directly about it instead of gossiping about the problem with you to other people.

P. S. a sign they might be gossiping about you is if they gossip about other people in your presence. If they're gossiping badly about other people behind their back, they're likely doing the same to you behind your back

I definitely attract people who use me as I lack self esteem and it shows.
I've known they've been fake when they start showing me that their actions don't match up with their words. They'll say they care about you but couldn't care less if you became ill or are going through a rough time. If they lack empathy they're definitely faking it! tests you can do:

When first meeting them, ask their name but don't give them yours to see if they ask. if they don't there not interested enough.

see if there words contradict their actions. example: I was on a date, she has to be some what interested to be alone with me. Then she tried throwing resistance with her words. but I tested by offering to go to another location, she proceeded to go with me, her actions showed different then her words. if she wasn't interested she would have went home. gave me confidence to make a move. dating her know.

for a guy, see if she is comfortable with your touch.

if it's meant to be it will be easy. follow the path of least resistance.

If they really trust you and come to you with questions as much as you come to them, then they are a true friend. I don't think you are able to tell off the bat but you have to get to know the person. I wouldn't trust them so soon in case it turns out badly but you cannot tell until they trust you as much as you trust them

Don't think about what others think about you and be yourself, the people who will stick with you would be the ones who accept you for who you are. I have been with my buddies for 10 years now whom even if I don't meet for months have no issues getting back together and we get along as if we met yesterday. As for how I feel when am with friends I just feel happy, there's no need to pretend and they would contact me everytime they are hanging out.

Their body language says a lot about how interested they are. During a conversation, pay attention to how they sit. Leaning in, toes pointed in your general direction, those show interest. Listening to their tone of voice is pretty important too. Watch their gaze. Does it wander? How often do they make eye contact with you? How often do they address you? - They don't make excuses to skip plans with you... even if they're busy when you try to make plans, they find time to spend with you at some point.

Body language is number one. If they have eye contact when you speak, that's a big sign of interest. Another thing is that they speak a lot after you finish a sentence. Although, a sign of someone not engaging or having any sort of interest in the conversation is one; no eye contact, vague replies of "yeah" "hm hm" "cool" "haha" are people who don't care what you are talking about.

Their eyes wrinkle at the crows feet area when they smile
They move arms head body and hands in a similar fashion to you when in your presence (Mirroring)
They have their feet pointed in your general direction and not at the door
Attraction, look for pupil dialation
Look for two or more of these in any encounter

Everyone is different. Some people may genuinely like you and may not mind seeing you for months and others might hate you underneath, but want to see you everyday.
I recommend you learn more about whomever you may be wondering about on a personal level. Then, you'll find it easier to see how they act and what they believe.
When you're closer with them, they're more likely to be honest as well.
