He was debating whether to tell me he had to leave, then decided to walk me anyhow. I think it was more out of guilt compared to anything else

If he's single, and he's spending time with you by choice, he is, at the very least, ATTRACTED to you (read: wants to bang you). About 10% of the time, he'd also be interested in actually having a relationship with you too.

(Single) guys are RARELY "just friends" with girls unless they're a friend of a friend or something where it's not really their choice that you're around.

@Punkin45 None of those people are FRIENDS - meaning people unrelated to them who they have chosen as friends. Of course guys have relatives, co-workers, fellow students, friends of friends, etc. that they spend time with due to circumstances, but outside of those people, if they're hanging out with a girl, they want to bang her.
