Do you love attending big family gatherings?

I really love them. My relatives are fun to be around and usually I have lots of fun at these gatherings and plus It feels peaceful to have everyone you and your loved ones love around ^_^

We've usually had family reunions every summer since I was nine. All our relatives would come and stay at our place for three days. My relatives have always lived far away so some of them I only got to see that one time a year, like two of my cousins, we're like triplets lol. We used to have the best times, everybody would laugh all the time and we would have the best food ever as there were so many great cooks present who would do their traditional family dish! We would see our little cousins grow over the years or meet them for the first time. My two closest cousins and I would always put on a show at the end of the reunion for which we would practice the whole weekend. The house was always filled with laughter and we would go on our own adventures around the house or make up stories. It was the best time ever. I usually cried when my cousins left and when it was all over.

Couple years ago the family reunions started taking place at hostels because our relatives kept extending their families. Some of those gatherings weren't as fun any more, I kissed having them at our place. But the last couple of years we had great locations and the family reunions were awesome again. :D

Cool! We usually meet at the 2nd January, It is said to be the day of destiny and what happens that day will influence your whole year. It's superstition but It's our special day xD
I have a very big family though and most of us live close so usually we meet often.

Plus you feel like it's an exclusive group that you belong to and that you share genetics, history and memories with. It's fascinating to find out what things you have in common with which people. :)

It used to be a Lot of Fun, hun, When my grandparents were Alive and We all Would get Together for many a Holiday and Occasion. But since the Monarchs passed on, All of us now going our own Separate Ways, these Days, If i can even make it to a dinner or some Special event or a Holiday in between, It is a miracle.

I come from a close and tight-knit family. its always been a part of the culture to always keep in touch. Also, now that I live in a different state from them, seeing them during gatherings makes it all the more special.

Yes and no. I usually have anxiety about going and I'm not a "people person" or a very good conversationalist in general (I hate being asked questions about myself and I'm a pretty private person) but once I'm there I'm ok. I enjoy it for a little while but if it goes on for too long, I get tired and the noise gets to me (everyone talking at once etc). So, yes for a while, but then it's just like, I want to go home now or leave lol, I've had enough.

I am opposite I love being in the centre of attention and usually I give a toast or something so that everyone can hear me.
If I am not on the mood I still love being there cause I can observe them and remember these moments when all of us were together and all of us were careless and happy.

I am introverted so large gatherings drain me. I tend to do well in smaller groups and intimate settings, but trying to converse with a large group can sometimes be a headache. Not that I don't like to socialize, quite the contrary. I love my family too, but my family is somewhat small and is even smaller now that my paternal grandparents and father passed away.

I don't like my relatives other than my core family and they make me uncomfortable, so no. I'd rather just have our family get together without any other relatives.

I enjoy when my sisters come over for dinner with their spouses and kids. When it's more relatives I don't really enjoy it.

I have 6 cousins (2 of them being my best friends since childhood) around my age from mom's side and 3 another ones but not first cousins, we are still close.
And from mom's side I have 7 cousins from 3 uncles. I am lucky I guess. The youngest one is 2 months old xD
