Do you have more male friends or female friends?

I used to be friendless, but now I have more female friends than males.

When I was young, I preferred hanging out with guys more than girls. At school my best friends were boys and when I was with family I would prefer hanging out with my male cousins than female cousins. However when I was 7-8 years old my parents didn’t allow me anymore to hang out with guys. I was forced to hang out with girls whixh at first didn’t like me at all which lead to bullying. Eventually I was in a different class and made only female friends. Now I’m 18 and I only seem to have female friends (excluding my boyfriend as a friend). I can talk to guys but because I was forcwd to not talk to them for so long I just naturally don’t as I’m still in highschool.

I have to best girlfriends, but everyone else is all guys. A lot of girls are jealous of me having so many guy friends that they always make rumors about me having a crush on ALL of them. I'm just really close to them and they just get me better. They understand my jokes more, don't critize me or make me feel like I'm doing something wrong or being weird, and they are always looking out for me. I've given up trying so hard to make girlfriends because it's not worth it. I personally like hanging out with guys more and it's not cause I'm a slut.

it´s funny how all girls say they have more guy friends xD but I´m the same. My girl friends are closer, because we can talk about girl stuff and shit, but in general, I like guys better to be friends with. They are fare more easy to be with, not bitching around. Most of them say what they think, no sneaky bitchy actions. They are caring and fun to be around. I love being the only girl in a group of guys.

I have more male friends, easily. And I have more genuine male friendships.

I have "female friends" but it's sort of "They know my name if I walk by." But I wouldn't say they're all that "serious" It's barely past "small talk" - they don't really bother. I would say more "acquaintances" than real tangible close friendships. They may invite me out via facebook, but usually only as a "blanket" invite to everyone who's been to the group... it's not like "Hey, I'm 3 miles from you, want to grab coffee?"

I have two or three "genuine" female friendships.

I get along easily with both females and males. But then more female friends. Maybe because they are usually better listeners? And many times my male friends are more judgmental, smh. The female friends are more understanding. Lol my closest friends are female. But i usually hang out with my guy clique.

I have more Male friends then female friends yes. But I keep both Male and female friends involved in my relationships etc... nothing is ever hidden. I have Male and female friends staying over at my house... men are somewhat more easier to get on with then females are.

My few female friends pick me and are usually more open minded, deeper thinkers. I just can't relate to most women. They seem too shallow and fake around each other.

Men don't usually take themselves so seriously, they have similar humor to me, they are more relaxed, and I just prefer men for company 99% of the time. We can get deep or keep it light.

My social circle is really based around my dance team and field hockey, which are all girls. The guys I hang out with are really the friends of my friends. I like them but i know i'm not really close to them. I still have trouble figuring out how to relate to them.

More male friends for sure. They're easier to trust and get along with, and they don't share my secrets and they put equal amount of effort into our friendships. I only have a few close female friends. I prefer male friends however, because they are just more beneficial to my emotional health <3

In the beginning when I was in middle school, I used to only have female friends because I was soooo nervous talking to guys lol :) Now at 22 all my friends are guys and I appreciate their company a lot more than girls. It's crazy how much a person can change in just a few years. Guys are less judgmental, give caring/heartfelt advice, and overall bring a lot of fun into my life :) They are all so supportive and there for me when I'm going through difficult times. Also I have found that girls tend to not like me very much and usually try to manipulate me and I want no part in that :)

I'm not sure. I don't pay attention to someone's gender when becoming friends with them. Probably slightly more; if not, mostly more male than female friends. Due to having more a boyish personality. But I don't know for sure. Because I don't really keep track.

Being the youngest and having 3 sisters. My younger life was mainly with women they would bring them round to the house after school I was mainly part of the fixture. be honest I enjoyed it and I missed the company. Additional I got married twice and have 5 daughters to add to the mix !!!

Mostly male friends. I have many female friends too.
The easier we get along with someone the easier we become friends with them, and I think people of same gender understand each other well and can relate most of the things.
This can be a two way street, either they will be the best or the worst.
However friends of opposite gender is likely to sympathy you more and seem to be more emotionally available.
It all depends on the personality of the individual.

platonically, male friends. Sexually female friends... In other words, pretty much all of my female friends I have been sexual with or have talked sexually with them. I don't really have any female friends that are purely just friends. If they are in a relationship then it's forced to be platonically, but if that relationship ends, then there's no telling how quickly it will turn sexual again. Even if we never have sex, we will definitely be flirting with each other.
