Does my friend (probably) have Aspergers?

This friend does certain things which make it hard for her to relate to other people and today I was reading something about this and it described her. Some examples : She argues with people unnecessarily, mispronouncing words frequently in her native language (when I first met her as a teenager I could barely understand her), she hates change and resists it at all costs, won't take social cues from friends, loved ones or others, has been written up at work for being overbearing, has other problems like ADHD and dyslexia, if she has a problem, she thinks other people have the problem with her, even if they don't, has problems with spacial abilities. She's very uncoordinated and will bump into you if you're walking with her, gives people a hard time about things which don't exist or innappropriate to joke around about, was not hygienic in school and other kids made fun of her, all the guys she gets involved with are socially awkward, she's a hoarder, she gets irritated a lot and doesn't care to be around other people too much.

It may be Asburgers and other things. ADHD, Asburgers, Autism, Sensory processing disorder and others are related. The latest DSM (psychological definitions) place them all within the Autism spectrum. It sounds as though a lot of her symptoms fit in the spectrum.

Maybe. But it's impossible to diagnose this way. I have Aspergers and don't have all those traits, and many people without Aspergers have some of them too

Do you tend to not tell anyone you have it? I'm only asking because another friend had it and she wouldn't tell me. It's nothing to be ashamed of but for whatever reason she wouldn't tell me.

I tell people who are either of 0 consequence, or i trust. But i wouldn't tell a random friend.

Well, it's not really easy to tell this way.. Maybe she could have, or somethin else and is a difficult person.. Lol..

Having that many traits in common with the diagnosis, is it likely? It won't change my friendship with her. I just want to understand.

There are many things that produce similar traits, and you probably have an incomplete understanding of Asperger's.

I do have an incomplete understanding. I am just trying to trouble shoot.

It definitely requires a more clinical assessment, but the description definitely makes a clinical assessment appropriate. Two of my tire children are on the spectrum and have some if the same symptoms. I'm not a doctor, but have studied these disorders extensively and, of course, spent many hours speaking with doctors, psychologists, and special educators on the topic.
