Why is everyone so offended? Calm down. You guys complain about your taxes and resources but guess whose draining them? these kids who are useless to society. if you're so concerned dont complain about tax deductions then and keep working like a slave to support these worthless beings.
Why do families choose to keep kids who are severely deformed instead of absorption?
I actually find it hard to believe that you're so heartless and cruel as to say these things. But then there was a time when a lot of people thought that someone of a different skin color than their own was considered worthless. So if you were born mentally handicapped or with a disability, you'd be all for your parents killing you? Just because someone is different or they're not you, does not mean they're any less than you or anyone else. Life is priceless and should be protected, no matter what. One of these precious children is worth more than 100 of you for the untruthful and horrible things you've said about them. Guess what? When my twin and I were in the womb, there was twin to twin transfusion, basically my sac was shrinking and I was getting crushed. The doctors said there was a 10% chance I'd live and if I did live, I'd be born a vegatable. My parents trusted in God and guess what, I proved the doctors wrong. I was born with a twisted spine and my skull was caved in, but now I'm well and healthy and obviously not a vegatable, although I do have high functioning Aspergers, I'm no less than anyone else.

In over 20 states, there is one abortion clinic in the entire state. That makes abortion an economically unreadable task and too much of a hassle for many women. There are also usually protesters hurling insults and shouting with signs in many of those states.
The cut off also may be too early to know if the child has a deformity. Furthermore, many mutations and defects are caused by a problem with the chromosomes. In order to test for those, the mother needs to have a very invasive chromosome test that has the potential to kill the child. So many don’t know or there is a possibility and they didn’t choose to test for it by the time they can no longer abort or they have the baby.
There are also women whose religious beliefs say abortion is wrong no matter what.

Why do we even let disabled people live? Its just a drain on society and the planets resources.
I dont have children, I'm in college lmao. I don't really care about these sort of things but you just seem like a person who doesn't get outside much, so I thought replying to you would help, but whatever have fun on your little powetrip
Because they aren't heartless and they still love their kids. It's called unconditional love, something all parents should have but unfortunately don't.

That "love" is not helping a suffering child. if the parents died today that child would be a ward of the state.
So abort them because the kids might end up being orphans one day? If that's the case then abort all kids because anyone's parents could die today or tomorrow or whenever. That's is fucking stupid and I'm pro choice. The choice of abortion should always be there but you can't just go around doing it because you don't want the kid. That's not right.

I like the sense of community this place has, you see a lot of the same people if you're active, it's fun to see what everyone is up to, but things like this really make things worse
You said "absorption". I do not understand why you're attacking everyone. It was a super funny mistake. Telling people that they should have been aborted is disgusting. It's easy for people to hide under anonymous and just say any outrageous thing.
For the actual question.. People keep their deformed babies because they LOVE them. Believe it or not deformed children need love and nurturing too. Some perfectly healthy kids grow up to be comeplete asshats, drug addicts, or just pieces of shit in general. Kids with disabilities are not trash.
I just want to point out that I think government should stay out of our private business and that women should be able to decide whether or not they want to absorb their fetus or not.
