Why do people keep kids like this alive?

Before I get hate, please understand what im trying to explain. Im talking about severely disabled children, to the point of never becoming independent in life and having to rely on someone. Im not talking autism or Down syndrome because people like them, are independent usually and tons of people with those conditions end up successful in life. Im talking about children that are born as vegetables, either in a wheelchair or on a ventilator. I just don’t understand what the point is in keeping someone alive like that who has no self aware or aware of their surroundings. Like for example i saw this short documentary of this lady who’s son is a vegetable and is on a ventilator. He was born like that. I just don’t understand how humane euthanasia is not used in cases like this. Before you come at me and say ever life is worth living, would you want to live like that? No, not every life is worth living. I just find it cruel to bring a severely disabled person into this world who literally is not aware of a damn thing.

I work for a kid with severe autism and down syndrome. He can't speak, still wears a diaper at 15 and he will NEVER be independent. He will mentally stay 2 years old for the rest of his life. As much as I enjoy taking care of him I do agree with what you are saying.

It hurts society to keep these types of people alive. They take a TON of cost and time and they dont give anything to society. Logically they should be aborted but morally we should take care of them. It's a question about choosing logic or morals.

Exactly. It’s one thing if its mild autism but severe to the point where the individual is nonfunctional, and not really aware, should be put down humanely. People who are vegetables, should also be euthanized. Not worth living. No function. No awareness

No i just personally believe that severely disabled people should not be born and i also believe that it is extremely inhumane to basically force a person, who is a vegetable, to continue living life. Do you know what a vegetable is? Someone who is on a ventilator or a wheelchair with absolutely no brain activity. They cannot function and have no awareness at all
