My ex keeps flaunting his new girlfriend in my face?

My ex -boyfriend broke up with me after 8 months, but now we are friends but no awkwardly friends either. So a week later he is dating this new girl who is younger than whenever I see him he says how happy he is now and how pretty she is.. It just hurts because I did love him and I thought we were going to longer than we did . It just feel like he is rubbing it in. Now he new girlfriend is like your still in love with him I know you are and then started cursing me off. I just sat there the whole time and took all the cursing in.. I was just so hurt , because he is like she is so nice and are you in this ? and all her accomplishments. She everything I am not.and it just hurts that he is flaunting her in my face.

The flaunting is because

EITHER

A. You ended the relationship so he is going to take pride in a getting a new girl and showing himself off in front of you.

B. He ended the relationship and more specifically showing off that in his mind that his new girl is better.

So either way it's his style of revenge.
