My mom hate my uncle’s wife cause she’s a gold digger. am I wrong for not being on her side?

My uncle is a rich CEO who’s 45 and he married a gorgeous looking 25 yo woman. It’s obvious that she was attracted to him for his money, but she’s very nice and polite with me and my mom, and she makes my uncle very happy since she’s naturally kind. Ofc he shower her with expansive gifts, but she’s very grateful for that, and since I’m 18 she told me that she consider me like a niece and a sister, and we even travel together sometimes, she’s not snobbish or anything , but my mom hate her to death because she believe that her brother should never marry a woman who was after his money. I replied to her «well she love him cause he have a nice job, just like he loves her for having a nice body ». But my mom was mad and told me that I was crazy for agreeing that my uncle married a gold digger and that I should be ashamed to get along with her. I consider the fact that she won’t stay with him if he become poor, but I can’t blame her since I don’t believe that he would stay with her if her face get burned or she become fat , so I guess it’s a fair deal. Am i truly wrong?

I am split on this. On one hand your uncle is what women desire, confident, smart, polished, worldly, decision maker, leader etc which are all needed to get money and position. She sounds nice, well grounded and hot. If he was truly smart he would have put money in a trust or protected himself otherwise. He can get the best and she can get the best so they both used that, but, a hot body is not a skill or trait and unlike intelligence etc it will fade, and fade quicker than she would think as he can get other hot women who are younger later.

I don't think you are wrong. Everyone has their own views on a relationship like that. It seems that your mom hates the relationship and blames it on your uncle's wife. You on the other hand don't care about the relationship, but like your uncle's wife. Everyone has there own views on the subject, but you are not wrong to have your own opinion.

You aren't wrong. I personally am not a fan of gold digger situations though.
