My friend called me selfish for not wanting to have kids?

I think that wanting to have kids or not is a personal choice, so I'd never judge someone for it. Yet my friend thought it was okay to call me selfish for not wanting to have kids. I'd rather adopt a kid who needs parents than create one and put him in this terrible world. I don't see how this is selfish. Why do people think it's okay to judge others about this topic?

It's not selfish and your the reasonable one here and i agree with your thinking of why not but even if i didn't i wouldn't judge you on not having one. And i think this pretty much the norm it's actually socially unacceptable to judge someone on not wanting a kid. It's defo more socially accepted it's your choice.
