Am I an asshole for refusing to help someone move because she hasn't spoken to me in 2 months?

Anonymous
So I have this "friend" who I used to be extremely close to up until this past year. She started acting estranged, never reaches out to me, barely responds to my messages and has all the sudden developed this weird hatred for my boyfriend (she is the one who introduced us). Examples: when I mention his name she says "Oh, him" and rolls her eyes. You would think she was 12, not 29.

I have asked her several times within the past six months to hang out but ultimately she always has some sort of excuse, so I stopped trying to see her. I haven't spoken to her in almost 2 months at this point.

Well, she just sent me a message and said "Hey girl! Are you guys doing anything right now?" I told her we were making dinner and doing homework with the kids. She then said "Have Chris swing by when he has a minute. Im moving into my new house today and no one will help me move my shit."

Maybe I didn't need to write a response other than "no" but I was pretty pissed. She hadn't even told me she was moving, if that explains how "close we are". So I said "Maybe everyone refuses because you dont speak to people for months, refuse to see them and then turn around and expect them to do free manual labor? We can't help you. We are doing homework with the kids, as I said."

She read the message and never responded.

Was I too harsh?
