What are the advantages of having a daughter? What are the advantages of having a son?

I only have daughters so I can't imagine it any other way. They have a mother and a step dad, but I'm their hero and it's not only really touching, but it's a lot of pressure too because I'm pretty sure that I'm not quite the super hero that they make me out to be. Their mother is a great mother and their step dad as well, but when they're scared or uncertain, they want to be around me. When my youngest broke her shoulder in a fall, she didn't want her mom. For some reason, her mom made her scared about the whole thing and about what it would mean. However with me, we took pictures, looked at the x-rays and showed all her friends where the break was. To this day she still asks to look at those x-rays and the pictures of us in the emergency room at 2am as she waited for her turn to be looked at.

But again, this is probably all because I only have daughters so I don't know any different, but I can't imagine a son being better. In fact, I have a hard time imagining a son being equally enjoyable to these two little girls.

Daughters are usually more attached to their fathers, while the sons are usually more attached to their mothers. I'm not a father, so I can't speak from experience. But from what I've seen, is that when daughters start to hit puberty, they must be kept a close eye on as they can be more difficult to deal with and are more vurlnerable to the world around them. There are many men who don't even want to have daughters because of this lol.

What matters the most is that the child is healthy and leads a good life.

I guess that if you have a daughter you're not going to have certain problems that you would have if you have a son. And vice versa.
In both cases it's hard to raise a child.

I have two daughters and one son. All about your age.
Boys are WAY WAY easier to get through puberty. Girls are a fukkin nightmare.
Boys marry and move away with their new wife.
Girls marry and keep you in the picture - they're usually closer to their parents, but in my case they're not. Probly has something to do with the two older girls are from a previous marriage. ;)
Girls are whiny and fussy. Boys are more content. But girls mature earlier than boys.
A guy's brain doesn't really fully develop 'till about 25. A girl matures at about 18-20.

The important thing for their development is that you encourage them to pursue activities they like and are good at. Too many parents want to live vicariously through their children, and push them into things THEY like. This is particularly common with athletics.

And no, little boys are not, and should not, be required to be JUST LIKE little girls. In some cases they even drug them if they're not. Sick.

I have 2 sons and a daughter.

The advantages of having sons is that you can do all the stuff you enjoyed doing as a boy and you have a good excuse. Gun/sword fights, wrestling in the living room, playing football, watching the movies you used to love.

The advantage of having a daughter is just that you get bombarded with constant cuteness.

Speaking as a parent of both a girl and a boy , I would say that boys become more distant as they establish their own family, but you never loose your daughter.

Girls tend to be more tidy and behave well. Boys can be very protective of people they love and boys are more fun. no offence to girls.

Having son and daughter is not thing to see advantage or disadvantage. In this life everyone have their own role in life. So both son and daughter are important in life. So someone have daughter or son Or both then thanks to god.
