If most people hate outcasts then why don't they just ghost us instead of provoking us?

I'm an outcast because of my lack of attractiveness, money, natural confidence amount other superficial things

I assumed that most people would cast me off & leave me alone but I was very surprised by how much banter & attention was thrown at me

That is interesting! I would say the reason people don't cast you off outcast is that they are different individuals. As humans, we tend to be attracted to things that are completely different and goes against the norm. That's why you see many artists nowadays that is completely different with colored hair tattoos everywhere etc. because it is something that our eyes is not used to so it creates some kind of confusion in our minds and makes that person interested in finding out what makes them different and why they are that way. That's why outcasts tend to stand out sometimes because they don't fit in with the norm but also stand out with the ones they don't like.
