I wouldn't necessarily consider you being "whitewashed" for who you associate with. Whitewashed tends to be more of a cultural adaptation of western culture. Or at least that is what I was told. So if your Asian and you don't follow traditions of your cultural up bringing and follow western European trends then your parents/relative/related groups would consider you whitewash. Or what other Asians consider them self's as 'twinkies'

If you like your friends - and they make you honestly feel good being around them - and you feel like "they got your back" then who cares what others think? It is your life, and if works for you - that should be all that counts :)
