Try not to be parents try not to be friends. Think of her as difficult to deal with co worker. Since you are not one of the bio parent and there is not much age difference between two of you. I am pretty sure this have to be very difficult for her to accept. You have to leave some things in bio dad to take care. This might be just preexisting issues with daughter and father or between you and your boyfriend.
