Very different.

For starters, with my family I would go as far to say there is no comfort in talking about my interests that are not associated with them, for example I like photography and they like that so I can talk about that, but I love anime and they absolutely make fun of it and never take an interest in any Japanese things, so I cannot bring myself to talk about that with them, I like a vast array of things that I cannot bring up with my family because they would either make fun of it or tell me I should not like it, so I communicate very little with my family on the subject of interests and more limited to just living under the same house and sometimes having a joke with each other and asking how the others day was.

Another is speech, I am actually a very big user of swear words when with friends because it is how I grew up in school as a way to emphasise my emotions, both when I am happy as well, not just upset or confused or angry but also during humour, I feel comfortable being able to use the whole dictionary to say how I feel in life, especially since as an adult there is no reason why I should not be allowed to swear when my parents also swear and other adults swear too casually, but at home I am stuck to a language of no swearing and that makes my speech feel very limited -_-

I am pretty much similar around them. I used to be a bit different around different groups of people or even acquaintances, but got tired of having to divide parts of myself. It can be exhausting. I have a more steady way of expressing myself now around every one.

I wouldn't say I have a different "personality", but I would say I am much more comfortable about who I am. Consequently, I'm much more "myself" around my family than I am around other people

Nope. How I am with my parents is exactly how I am with my friends. Just a few less swear words in English.

I'm forced to have a different personality around my "family". If I acted like I do in front of my friends they would call me weird or crazy.

Exactly if I tried I would fall out of character so dam quick 😂 I have a hair trigger temper also a characteristic of people who can’t really pull that off well. I wish I could at time it would help me not come off as bitch so much 😂
