Do you get along with your family? Or is that difficult? If so why?

I haven’t seen them in 2 years and yet we’re closer now than ever before


I grew up in a fairly small house with 5 people living in it
It was hard not to be at each other’s throats when there’s little room to catch a breather


But when I moved away all I can think of are the good stuff
All things considered I have a loving a family who try their best for me
They don’t have it easy and so neither do I


As a kid I resented them for not being richer and giving me more options in life


As an adult I’ve come to accept that this is the hand I’ve been dealt because it’s the hand they’ve been dealt


And I can’t ask them for anything that I’m unwilling to chase after myself

I love my family. There's no doubt about that. Mom's done everything for me and my brother and my whole goal in life is to eventually get her back for all she's done for me. Although my brother and I have polar opposite personalities and don't get along in person, I still love the dude and would jump in front of a truck for him. Dad's outta the picture and has cut ties, but I only wish him well in life.

And my extended family is really close-knit as well. We are the only family I've ever heard of that has a family newsletter, family t-shirts, a family anthem, and have planned massive reunions for all our family members around the world. I grew up extremely close to my cousin's seeing them like every other weekend, although that's changed to every few months over the years, which is kinda sad.

I get along very well and am very close with 8 of them. I have nothing to do with the rest of my family as they’re not nice people.

Yes i get along with them. We don’t talk too much, but if something happens we always makes sure we stay behind us.

I try to, but it's difficult because they don't respect me and have very poor conflict resolution (literally everyone except me and my brother is just avoidant. So I've been able to confront him about the issue and resolve it, but nobody else.)

I enjoy my family time. I'm also grateful not to have the hassle of kids of my own or a big family lol includes relatives. I'm glad to keep things as stress free and as enjoyable as possible as a family unit 😄

I generally get along well with my family. We tend to ignore politics, because some of the millennials are very left wing liberals. Otherwise we like each other and get along well.
