12 year old niece trying to flirt with husband?

I noticed when my husband calls me a brat my niece will say I’m a brat too. I don’t understand this behavior. Also my husband calls me and him beauty and the beast and then my niece goes I’m a beauty. What is this about? I’m not sure if it’s flirting or not but it’s kind of embarrassing. Is this normal? Me and her been close since she was born and I love her so much. How to stop this weird behavior?

It's normal. She's 12 and has a crush on your husband. She'll get over it quite soon. Your husband might reply with something like "Yes, you are a beauty and in a few years you'll have many boys admiring you."

As the other commenters stated, I think she’s just got a childhood crush, like I’m sure we’ve all experienced growing up. I know it’s a little weird for you, but honestly she’ll grow out of it. Just don’t entertain it too much and don’t be too hard on her for adolescent behavior.
