Do Surrogate mothers feel bonding and connection with the child?

I was wondering if surrogate mothers felt connection or bonding with child they give birth to?

Bc it's not born out of love or more so commercial reasons?

What happens if they don't want to give up the child after delivering it?

In the UK it can suck because if the surrogate isn't mentally able to let go they can keep the kid as the law recognises her as the mother who birthed it.

Many actual surrogates describe the feeling of happiness and a small bond of having had the child. in their womb, but relieved to pass the child onto its actual parents.

I considered being a surrogate for ages so got some pretty good groups and info.

I am sure they do. Cause their hormones are the helping the pregnancy and the fetus.

I am no psychologist but I am positive there is an innate sense of bonding between a mother and her unborn child.
