When is comes to household responsibilities: How is a girl supposed to ask for help to a guy?

I literally made my roommate brother cry cause I needed help with household chores.

I even asked nicely and he rolled his eyes and walked away. When I called him out on his behavior and questioned it. He responds with:

“I don’t have to answer your questions. I just want to eat and go to my room.”

Me: “okaaay,…? well I’m just reminding you what needs to get done.

Him: “I’ll get to it when I get to it. Give me my space.”

Me: “I ASKED YOU ABOUT THIS LAST WEEK. THAT WAS NOT ME GIVING YOU YOUR SPACE?”

Him: “I don’t do this to you 😭. I just came home and want to eat.”

Me: “what did I do? 😶🤯 I just asked you something and reminded you what needs to get done. Then you walked away from me.”

Him: “you ruined my day.”
Then he leaves.

Meanwhile I wash 🧽 the dishes.

My phone 📱 rings and it’s my mom.

Mom: “WHAT DID YOU DO? 🤬”
Me: “🙄. What do you want?”
Mom: “What did you do to make your brother cry?”
Me: “why don’t you ask him, he’s right there.”
Mom: “He said you made him cry!”
Me: “how and why? ASK HIM”
Mom: “He won’t tell me, he’s crying. But let me tell you something!…..”
Me: 🙄🙄🙄🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Are ALLL guys emotional when it comes to household chores and responsibilities? I need to know! Cause I’ve walked around eggshells and asked nicely to my brother, who is a GUY. Only for me to be labeled as a bad guy 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤯🤯🤯

I try to do my household chores as much i can possibly do. I don't like to give extra burden to my mom. I try to do as much as i can before going to my work. Coz i can't see my mom doin all these things alone. She is not ment for just doing household stuffs.

I think it just comes from within, like with me if my mom facing difficulty in any household work i would just help her without her asking for it

Well you brother is no man if he runs to mommy if someone nags on him not doing his chores. So no this is not normal. But you have known this would happen since he is your brother. And he must have done this before multiple times during your childhood.

If it is just you and him there, you need to go separate ways. Find your own living places. Alone or with roommates. But get away from him. Maybe after having to do all the cooking and cleaning himself, he will learn what an asshole he is. Cut the ties and be rid of him.

I'm sorry about your situation, unfortunately, your brother is acting like a spoiled kid. You need to tell your mom that it's unfair on your part to just always take the blame and won't make your brother take responsibility for his actions. Not all guys are emotional when it comes to chores, I actually learned from my aunt that I need to be tidy at all times for me to get a good impression.

He’s an irresponsible brat with an enabling mother. He’s not 5 years old but his mother is treating him like he is. I know this type of man. He will grow up, get someone pregnant, bail on her and then his mom will talk about how unfairly everyone treats her son.

Did you tell your mother that you asked him to take out the trash? My mom would come down hard on me for crying if someone asked me to take out the trash. Next time he refuses to do some chores you need to mock him for being a crybaby. It is your responsibility as his sibling.
