Why do people go through other people's stuff?

My girlfriend got all her accounts hacked, dating profiles, facebook you name it. For like years. And she had no idea really.

This one girl who was her friend went through her room when she was at work plenty of times. I'm just curious what goes through people's minds when they go through other people's belongings and why?

You just answered your question about a reason that people go through other's stuff. When you stated, "I'm just curious what goes through people's minds"... simple curiosity and that is why most people want to learn new stuff that looks interesting.

That doesn't make sense. This person used her info to get revenge or what have you. I mean it was done maliciously... we have passwords for a reason and I understand her password needs to be stronger but jeeze. Cause your e curious? How about talking to her... asking her about her life like that's what I dont get
