Have you ever lost an online friend and got emotional?

This happened to me recently, and I consider this person a lifetime friend, but I got ghosted. We never fought and there were no conflicts between us, however, I finally figured out that I need to move on because it isn't worth being sad about.

Awww I'm sorry to hear that. I haven't lost an online friend (I consider an online friend someone I'm close to and interact with frequently) but it really sucks that you got ghosted. It probably really hurt you at first but just remember that there are always other people.

There are people who would like to be friends with you (if you're respectful and have a good attitude). I would be really upset too if I were in your situation. I'm fortunate that didn't happen to me but I did get blocked by someone irl who I thought was my friend and I was really upset about that too

Yes, I lost an online friend with whom i was quite close. Worst thing is, I probably just need to send him a message and there's a good chance things will turn out fine. But it's my fault we lost contact and I feel bad about it. He was a good friend.

I have another close online friend, he's on here as well. I don't know if he still feels the same tho, but there was a time when we we're really close, messaging everyday and stuff. But during that time I made a terrible mistake and almost lost his friendship. I was torn about it and fully aware that it was nobody's fault but my own. Eventually he found it in his hart to forgive me (this happend like 3 years ago) but we still talk to each other every now and then and it's a nice thought that he's only a message away. I do still think of him often and wonder how he's doing.

Wouldn't say emotional, but yeah disappointed. Same thing with girls, I haven't dated in 2 years now, currently in a great LDR for a few months, but yeah at times I feel hurt and sadness of friendships and old relationships that never worked out. It's a human reaction

Yes. Been very close to several people through the years. Things change, you drift apart and lose contact. Something will come up in my life that would strike a chord with them, and I’ll want to tell them. That’s when it hurts.
