Have you ever had an on-line friend who was like a lover, friend, companion that you shared much with and then lost them?

I have and believe me, it was like losing a dear friend. I knew her name, some things about her family, her home, her husband ( yes, she was married with a child of 1 3 at the time) We did have on line sex with cameras, BUT THAT SAID, we talked about cars, our homes (she sent me photos of her beautiful home from the inside) we talked about gardening equipment, her golf game, her swimming pool, etc. She sent me photos of her going out on New Years Eve, and photos of her dressed down, at a nearby lake.

Never had anyone on line, like that. Her name was Diane, and she was very pretty, but she suddenly broke off the 'relationship' (if you can call it that) After that, I understand how persons can become enamored with people they meet on line and have long term contact with. This has been several years ago, and I still think about 'Diane" and wonder if she is okay.

Has anyone had an on-line friend like that? For me it was somewhat painful to lose her friendship, and I hesitate to ever get involved again like that.

Yes and I’m trying to get over mine but I can’t let him go. It’s extremely difficult and heartbreaking. It’s def one of the worst pains for me. Plus it’s very secretive since we are both married but we haven’t gone as far as to do what you two did or even say we love each other but there is a connection for sure.

Thank you. Our camera sex was a one sided arrangement, but still, I felt very close to her and she was quite a good person, from from what I could determine. I just don't understand the dynamic of those relationships

Never had an online friend but I think if you knew someone for a long time and had a connection then it can really hurt to lose them. sorry
