They both want to cuddle, they both make they same messes and break things. If you don't train them they will use the bathroom on themselves or around the house, and so on...

Well, they say dog has the mental capacity of a few years old child so it makes sence theor behaviour is similar early on.
Not to mention, we, humans, are part of the animal kingdom.
