Would you feel bad if only your daughter was good with the ball but not your son?

My supervisor has 3 children, an 8 year-old girl and two 11 year-old twin boys. The girl has been always kicking, passing and touching the ball from an early age. Unfortunately not many girls are into that so she plays with boys her age for the meantime; winning some.

The parents tried to get her brothers motivated into playing soccer but they have no interest and aren't great either. Only the girl seems natural at it and loves it. She wants to be a soccer player and participate in the Fifa women's world cup in the future.

Basically their daughter is doing what they would've wished their sons were great at. If your were the parent would you feel bad if only your girl was good with the ball but not your son (s)?

nope, it would not bother me at all... a good coordination is not for everyone, lol... and if there's a lack of interest on top of that, then there's no need to force anybody into sports

also, I try my best to not impose my preferences on likes onto other people, especially children... it's just not good at all for their development

I hated sports as a kid. I certainly wouldn't be pushing them into it. If they want to play sports. I'd encourage them. As with anything else healthy or productive.

Not everyone is into sports. I'd simple accept that they weren't and not pressure them to do anything.

My kids can do what makes them happy as long as it isn't harmful to themselves or others.

My supervisor once admitted they would've wished it was their twin boys showing interest in soccer than their daughter. They are aware that soccer players (as well as any contact sports) can hurt themselves in the game and are very protective over their daughter for that reason.
