Would you flaunt your career if it increased your friends ship base?

My cousins ignore me because they are wealthy millionaires and view me as socially low status and I thought they would want to be in my life again if I was rich. My best friend discarded me as a friend when she entered the medical profession because she viewed me as socially beneath her. Being rich would buy back all the friends and family who abandoned me, but I think pretending to be poor would get me real friends and not social climbers.

My supposed best friend did this to me when we were in college. I was desperate to get my own place and be independent away from home, but the cheapest place I could get was in a crappy neighborhood. If she was a real friend, she would've still talked to me, right? No.. she didn't wanna drive in the "ghetto". After 15 years I said hi to her on FB and she married a 60 yr old man for his $$.

Yikes, I rather be a friend with a rock. Think of how so much better a rock is. He won't judge you, he won't betray you, he doesn't care about your wealth or anyone elses wealth, cause he is rock.

No. I don't want friends like that. I've always been friends with more "lower class" people if you can call it that. A lot of the upper class ones are just snobs. I'd rather have no friends than have them as friends.
