never needed their approval nor their permission... but is not like I just get involved with "questionable" people anyway, I am quite selective... so it has never been any issue of the sorts

My family and friends dont know everything and aren't exactly the smartest, so how would they know whos best for me. Sure if they dont approve of her because she is a bad person then of course Ill take what they have to say to heart but otherwise its my life not theirs.

Yes and no. I like different kinds of girls than my family wants for me (i like traditional they like modern). So if they dont like them because of it, too bad so sad. But once they accept that aspect i do expect them to approve otherwise. But its really more a suggestion than a guideline.

No I'm more likely to get someone they don't approve. My family and friends growing up were mostly from church events so they always value virginity and shame partying and drinking even though some of them tried it themselves. In fact I can only be attracted to girls they don't approve
