Why do women use social media as a tool to get reactions out of guys?

So I have a female friend who I consider to be one of my very good friends, who just randomly unfollowed me on Instagram last night. She has 2 account a personal and a travel account but only unfollowed me on the personal account. She also is still friends with me on Facebook. We haven’t spoken in over 2 weeks and I know I haven’t done anything wrong. Is she just trying to get a reaction out of me? Should I ask her about it? Or just move on with my life? I feel like that’s sort of petty to do to some one, but at the same time she’s someone I truly care about and know she’s going through a difficult time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you didn’t do anything wrong then I wouldn’t be worried about it. People are just weird when it coming to following and unfollowing people on Instagram. Maybe she feels like you guys grew apart. Still I don’t know why she did that, seems kinda immature. That happened to me and I just unfollowed them back 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was thinking it was very immature as well. She never unfollows people on Instagram, she literally just unfriended me and me only. If you have an issue with me why not tell me? She is terrible when oh comes to any sort of conflict so even if you question her she won’t give you any sort of closure on situation. It’s super frustrating, but at the same time she’s had my back this past year more than anyone, so it’s hard.

I get you, exactly what happened to me. I know to unfollow is a kinda small thing but it made me think like damn you don’t want to see what I am doing anymore? Makes me think how much did they even care about me. It’s sounds stupid af but that’s how I felt 😂

It doesn’t sound stupid, that’s exactly how I feel, she’s the first person to look at everything I post. But when you unfollow me on your personal account but still follow me on your travel account, and still follow me on Facebook, I feel like it’s obvious your trying to get some sort of reaction out of me, because your clearly still able to see what I’m up too. So it kind of defeats the purpose.
