Are women who are always on social media a turn off?

I mean women who are always on their phones scrolling through TikTok, IG, or Facebook. I find it to be incredibly annoying. I have some female co-workers who are like this, some even do it during our meetings and none of them perform as well as the guys. I remember one of my exes was even always on her phone on Facebook too. It is so disgusting to me. What do you guys think?

I have a hard time understanding why anyone would become cell phone dependent. But I am old and find reassurance in the fact that I am quite comfortable living in my world alone or with a chosen mate. I really don't care how many people like me or don't like me. I have heard that I have an irritating personality. This has taught me how to apologize quickly. I tend to avoid having to apologize. Limited socialization seems to work best. I carry the cell phone in my back pocket near a place where my opinions are expressed.

Same here. If I spend that much time on IG I feel sick and pathetic. But I limit that shit. I'm not doing it non-stop for hours, and definitely NOT sitting in meetings at work looking at it either.

Yes! I was at a restaurant one day, having lunch and this mother was on her cellphone and totally ignored her children all through their lunch.
Her little daughter tried and tried to get her attention, but the mom just waved her off.
It doesn't have to be a relationship between a couple to be around a woman who is always on her cellphone and social media.
They need to be social with real people too - like their real life family.

in my opinion (just from girl to girl) it’s a turnoff. I don’t want to be around some gal who is always “checking in” on her social media “followers”. I can imagine a guy would want to DATE that. Drama….

Plus it's an indicator that they take almost nothing seriously in life. The women on my job who are always doing this are your surface-level type people who fear deeper discussions and would rather spend all day gossiping and scrolling than growing any real depth in their lives. I can't stand it.

I confess I HAVE to be on social media for spurts of time to promote some things or make a lesson “palatable” to younger folks addicted to those platforms, but I tend to reserve usage to certain chucks of time in the day. And tbh I don’t “follow” a lot of people to see what they’re up to. We either know each other (and chat in real life) or we don’t.

I can agree. I too am rapidly growing bored with social media. 80% of reels are either annoying couple comedy skits, shitty irritating AI reboots or creations, ghetto memes, or people doing dumb street skits you can clearly see are staged. I think I've reached a point in my life where that stuff is frying my brain and providing no value anymore.
