My mom wants to take over whenever my boyfriend comes to visit?

I usually go to my boyfriends and not the other way round. Today he is coming to mine however. My mom wants to make him food but I want to do that myself and she is annoyed that I don’t want her to. She wants to include herself in everything when he comes and it’s quite irritating. How can I handle this?
