Excruciating! Not only for them because they are hurt if you don't feel the same way but also you probably just lost your friend. It happened to me a couple of times. As I am friendly, open-minded and feel free to talk almost about everything, guys usually think I am flirting. Now I have only a few friends and don't really want to meat people :( Sad story...
