Can bad friends become nice again?

I have a friend who used to care about me a lot but We’ve hung out for 26 years and now it seems she refuses to tolerate any conversation I have with her where I’m better then her, I showed her a glamorized facial picture and she told me to choose an uglier picture and when I went through all 3 pics she asked me if I looked different now and when I said I had been trying to improve my appearance, she ended the conversation, she always seems irritated when good things happen to me. I choose an image of a cover page for my book and she was bitter it seemed cause she always waits 10-20 minutes to reply if I give her happy news about my life.

That depends if they have their life together and can’t be easily jealous/envy of someone close to them.. but usually the outcome of this is “NO” once they become rude towards you.. they may end up being nice to you just to get back in your life and try to ruin it again.. but like I stated depends on their level
