It means there is a spiritual (undetected by physics instruments and the five senses) reality, with networks and connections.
Or it is a random event with no cause or meaning.

It would mean that by thinking of them "waves" or "radiations" (not material but spiritual) flowed from you to them. So, for example, they thought about you, and felt driven to call you.

That used to happen to me a lot. Sometimes it happens when I’ll think about an opinion I gave earlier in the day, and then the GaG asker will reply in notification at same time as the thought. Coincidence? Not sure. It’s fun though.
