Well, it’s one of those things that I would probably talk to the parents about. I wouldn’t get angry at the child at all. Not their fault one bit. However, I would be a bit bothered with the parents.


I would be bothered by the parents because if they knew they had guests coming over, their child should be dressed… For respect of their child and for the guests.


Me personally, I wouldn't let my kids be naked if there were any guests coming over, unless it’s the in-laws or grandparents. It’s a violation of my child’s personal and bodily privacy and inappropriate for random, non related guests, or distant family to see.

My parents used to let both of my little sisters run around naked. There's even a family picture of mom with the youngest of the two on an island in the river where friends of theirs had a little shack and my sister was standing there naked holding mom's hand while someone (dad?) took a picture of them.
As for the girl in question. I think (it was years ago!) I spent the night at their place because we were planning on going somewhere the next afternoon and they thought it better that I sleep over rather than take an extra 45:00 or so getting there on a bus. We were all ready to go except the girl. As I was waiting, I was lying face up in "my" bed waiting for them to dress her and, while her mom was getting her clothes, she climbed up on the bed and was lying on me face up with her feet near my face! I thought nothing of it and just allowed her to rest there. She's just being a kid and I'm not staring at her crotch or thinking sexual things about her! She's just being a kid! Her mom turned and saw her on me like that and kinda yelled at her for it for various reasons, one of which was that it wasn't nice for her to do that to me but, I just told her it was no big deal. She got the girl dressed and we all went to wherever it was we were going. No harm done.

I wouldn't say anything since it's not my child and it would come off as creepy if you said anything. My neighbor child used to do this and my parents didn't said anything just my mother said it was ok and she didn't mind since it's a child. Personally I think it's not something that should be done and the parents should not let the child do this but it wasn't in my position to said anything.

That has happened to me several times. Some parents let their kids run around naked, especially when it's right after their bath... it helps get them dry. Doesn't bother me, it's perfectly innocent, although occasionally the parent (mother, not father) is slightly embarrassed and apologizes for her daughter running around naked.

Seems to me people tend to think the other way around. It was never a big deal for my sisters to run around naked when they were little. Most people just thought it was really cute and adorable but my brother & I could never do it! When you're a little girl, there's not really anything to see but, even when you're a little boy, there's still that thing sticking out in front of you! One of my first memories (I was 2) is that, right after a bath, I went downstairs completely naked, got mom's lipstick a colored my whole body with it and then ran out the front door to the end of the alley a block away and into the ball field!
