Adhd and bipolar?

My son is very hyper all day and into night time and he is so moody throughout the day too! Does everyone think he might adhd and bipolar?

ADHD is more situational driven. Put adhd in a challenging situation AND it’s like everything comes undone as he/she is overwhelmed in that dynamic. Remove from dynamic and things settle back down.
—Bipolar, too me, is much more frightening. Manic hysteria often medicated with alcohol and weed begins a depressive episode and the cycle continues.-And, there are often physical and scary emotional outbursts in both manic and depressive states. The situation matters very little with Bipolar. ADHD once removed from uncomfortable stimuli snd placed back into a “happy place” will chill and end.

I suggest you take your son to a pediatric doctor and try to discuss your concerns. Maybe they can refer you to a pediatric psychiatrist to professionally diagnose your son.


Children of that age in general, often exhibit signs of ADHD, so that’s not uncommon… However, what you need to do is get him tested for both. Find resources and information about them, and try to start finding ways to accommodate your son in his early education years.


Also, if he is professionally diagnosed with bipolar disorder, there may be some treatments such as children’s behavioral therapy or even medications… But before jumping to conclusions, the bottom line is to ALWAYS get your child professionally diagnosed and talk to doctors about the treatments and what can be done.

Yes, there is a possibility, he could have ADHD and Bipolar combined but he needs to examine for these illnesses also watch what he eats and drinks, for example, no fruity pebbles this will set him off and another thing is red kool-aid could set him off always give him stuff to eat that is color-free and same for what he drinks to make sure it is color-free they claim color is what sets them off.

How old is he? Bipolar isn't obvious in a young child.

he's 3 turns 4 in June

Well may I suggest you try another doctor/specialist because they obviously dont know exactly what to do.
