Nope, but only because of the reason they gave really just making it worse. If they’re going through, stuff then it’s going to be hard to make our friendship work in this moment of my life right now anyway I feel I’m excelling (compared to before) and left my troubles behind ages back. I know it sounds selfish but I don’t want any sort of negative influence in my life so I’d probably ignore the message they send me saying that

Yeah to me anyway that’s a terrible excuse and I’ve had it before. I know they may be going through stuff but still

Nope, at least not like the way we were before. Who knows if they do it again? If it was a situation like enduring a loss of a close relative, lover, divorce/breakup etc, then I might consider having them back but I won't be able to get the friendship and closeness to the level it was before.

Possibly. But only if they agreed to have better communication this time around. But I'd only say this assuming I'm a close enough friend to even be entitled to that type of treatment.
