Everyone will take their Mother out for breakfast for Mother's Day. What about the other 51 Sundays?

Not going to see mom this Sunday…
was just with her few days ago.
We are all very close … so will see her again next week when my little sister gives birth to her 8th grand kid. I will be picking her up from the hospital to bring her to our moms… our whole family will be taking care of the new baby and my little sister… it takes a village…
we celebrate life/love on a regular bases … not just Mother’s Day. we avoid restaurants that day.
If you only take your mother out on Mother's Day, shame on you. At least on her birthday too.
Great point! We should all celebrate each other more often😊. Impromptu thank you’s are the best!

They are all packed around here anyways, for two big reasons.
1. Soo many went out of business during covid that we lost like half of them and now those left can't handle the business
2. Not enough employees, so they leave tables empty to avoid over loading servers. Operating at reduced capacity due to labor shortage.
That is just a normal weekend, so I imagine Sunday will be even worse. Many restaurants you can show up and they'll have signs saying, we are closed today due to labor shortage, please try tomorrow.
I think I'll just make her something.
I don't do these days (father's & mother's) i do take care of my parents and i don't need a calender to tell me when is their special international day. These marketing BS are getting worse eveey year too
Mom isn't here any longer.
But I had a tendency to spend 51 Sunday mornings with her, and I ignored ''Mother's Day' :)
Well I am sad to be traveling on Mother’s Day, perhaps it will be good to celebrate when I return! Less packed restaurants, probably an amazing dinner cooked by my man (with help from our children of course)
I won't... lol
but yes, I do check with my parents both... at least once a month, or they check on me, lmao
My mom lives 2 planes or 20 hours drive away so I won't take her anywhere lol. But yeah I see your point...
I dont celebrate motner's day. I spend time with mom regularly, we sit n talk n hug almost daily. She is my mother 365 days a year not 1 day a year.
I will be cooking for my grandma my mom does not deserve shit!
I cook a big Sunday lunch for my mother every Sunday,,,
Don't think people are digging up their dead mothers to take them to breakfast, bucko. They have other interests.
You seem similarly misinformed about the other 51 weeks.
Not the other 51 because i am across country for college, but me and her pick 1 day a week to go out to dinner or shop when i am home.
Also we ft everynight when away for college
Not doing that. BBQing for dinner. Breakfast in a restaurant is a waste of money.
Wr all go to brunch, each family member taking turns paying and using yelp to decide the next restaurant so its always new places.
My mom and I go out every Sunday for breakfast regardless.
I know I won’t be there, no mother or wife anymore, I will just do what I normally do on Sunday, just relax and sleep late
Who takes their mom out. Sounds like alabama
It's a hallmark holiday... just like vday, yet, I don't see you complaining about vday
It’s just a Hallmark and a Calendar is man-made. What’s your point?
You're supposed to take them out for breakfast?
I’m always with my mother
We had Pizza Hut today and lobster tomorrow
What mother?
