I'm fine with asking questions to my friend and him replying but I've ran out of questions, and I don't really want to ask anymore, what do I say/do?

I've asked questions to know my friend better, because I've only known him for a month or so, but I don't know what to ask anymore. I can't really think of anything. I've asked hobbies, favorite subjects (from when they were in school), and what he liked. I mean he is a nice person and sort of an introvert, but if I ask a question that seems personal, like "Why do you..." he seems to get cold again. Because he is cold and seems sensitive to things, but he is friendly to people he likes. I just don't know what to say or what to talk about anymore. Instead of questions what are things I can say?
