What does it mean when a guy says you ask too many questions? I don’t like your questions?

We were in the car with a group of friends and we were all talking about relationships and this kid is very quiet. Usually people open up to me and talk about their life I give advice cuz I’m the oldest one in the group just like 3 years older. I know this guy for a month now and we joke around. Yesterday I just wanted to get to know him a little deeper so I asked questions about his past relationships in an attempt to give advice just have deeper conversations. I asked if they still talk if they that’s good try to stay friends, I asked if she was the love of his life? Why did they break up? And he’s saying I don't know I don't know. Then he said I don’t like the questions. You ask too many questions. What is that suppose to mean? Does he think I’m annoying? Does he not like me?

It sounds like you were interrogating him. When someone is reluctant to answer certain types of questions, don't keep asking the same type of questions. There was too much pressure coming from you. He could have seen this as being all about you and inconsiderate of his feelings. Start by finding out what people like talking about rather than just picking a topic and beating it to death. He had no idea where you were going with this, so he was reluctant to give you ammunition you could use against him.

It might be a topic he doesn't want to talk about, or at least not yet. It might be a bit sensitive, something he could get emotional about if it is too recent. It might not mean he still has feelings for this other person, but it can also be disappointment in himself for mistakes he might have made. In any case; the best way for you to react to this, is to just let this topic of conversation rest for a while.

No you were not rude for asking the first time. Just try to avoid the topic if it makes him uncomfortable.
