What type of love do old couples have?

A couple blocks from my house, I always see my neighbors. They are an elderly couple; both are 80 year-olds (the woman is only 2 months older than him) and they just celebrated their 60th year of marriage.
They obviously met long ago, both were then 17 year-olds at the time. I saw a picture when they were young; the woman was pretty and he was handsome too. Yet, he still calls her ''my gem'' and she refers him to as ''my prince''.

Obviously the woman aged with him and she's never going to ever be that young girl he met. He lost his attractive features too. Do old people actually feel attraction towards each other or something else? What type of love do old couple have?

yeah I wonder how old couples function and if they are really still attracted towards each other or it must be another type of love.

Loyalty to each other is a big part of it.

True that's important. It keeps the relationship. Though sometimes I can't help but wonder if they're really still attracted towards each other, given they have long lost their youthfulness.

I wonder how are they still attracted towards each other, given both of them long lost their beauty. The guy used to be very handsome when he was young and his wife was once pretty too.
